Fuchsia (1)

My fuchsia plant surprises me, I was out on my patio on a cold November morning, optimistically hoping that just because it wasn’t raining I might me able to get some washing dry, when I turned around and found this in full bloom in it’s pot.

I planted this one earlier on this year and it’s sort of bloomed a few times now, but not completely, like this till now, so quite a surprise on two fronts, one, in that having such a vivid brightly coloured plant flowering in November and two, in that I haven’t killed it (yet).

The photo by the way was taken with my iphone, which doesn’t have the best camera on it in the world, by far but thanks to a mention from The Small Object about the iphone app, ShakeItPhoto, I downloaded it and have had great fun playing with it. It’s meant to turn your iphone into a polaroid (you have to shake your phone to develop your photo – I’m easily pleased) and pleasing gimmick aside, it does turn rather rubbish photos into rather pleasing old fashioned looking photos instead, with some rather nice saturated colour.
